About this event

  • 3 hours 30 minutes

This seminar is designed to prepare participants for practice in the Southern District of Ohio. Speakers (including judges, law clerks, and practitioners) will discuss practice before Magistrate and District Judges in criminal and civil matters, as well as practice in Bankruptcy Court. Speakers will also discuss the function of the Clerk's Office, the Local Rules of Court, the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, and the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure.

This is a live interactive webinar taking place via Zoom on June 6, 2024. To attend, you must register through Eventbrite. Registrants will receive an email with a Zoom link and electronic materials the week of the seminar. The Ohio Supreme Court has approved three general hours of CLE credit or three general hours of New Lawyer Training credit for this live interactive webinar.

IMPORTANT: To verify attendance and active engagement, participants will be provided with three verification codes during the seminar (one per hour), which participants must enter in a brief online post-seminar survey. You will not be admitted to practice in the Southern District of Ohio or receive CLE/NLT credit if you cannot provide these verification codes after the seminar.
